Tara National Park is one of Serbia's most beautiful and ecologically rich natural areas. Located in the western part of the country, it covers approximately 220 square kilometers (85 square miles) and is renowned for its diverse wildlife, pristine forests, and stunning landscapes.

The park is home to more than 1,200 plant species, including endemic species that are found only in this region. The park's forests are primarily made up of deciduous (oak, beech) and coniferous trees (spruce, fir). Tara is known for its rich wildlife. Some of the notable species include the Serbian brown bearwild boargrey wolfLynx, and a wide variety of birds such as golden eagles and white-tailed eagles.

One of the most significant cultural landmarks in the park is the Tara Monastery, a Serbian Orthodox monastery dating back to the 14th century. It is located near the top of a hill and offers a serene view of the surrounding landscape.
